Softball was defeated by Virgin Valley

The Sunrise Mountain softball team lost to Virgin Valley, 25-13, on Monday at home.

“It was a really good game,” said junior Kayla Bryan. “The team did not give up at all.”

The team allowed two runs in the first inning, three runs in the second inning, four runs in the third inning, three runs in the fourth inning, one run in the fifth inning, and zero runs in sixth and seventh inning.

“Yeah, the fourth inning we were tied,” said Bryan. The score was 3-2.

Both Christabelle Garner and Bryan got two hits for the Miners. Yazmin Sevilla, Solangel Gamez, and Esmeralda Balbuena each added one hit for the Miners.
