Sunrise Mountain seniors – don’t worry.

Many seniors who thought they would take their formal yearbook photos on picture day last week on Sept. 5 & 6, were told that they weren’t allowed to take them. Instead they were told by Lifetouch personnel that seniors had to come to their studio if they wanted to be in the yearbook.

However, the school intends to bring Lifetouch back to have a senior portrait day at some point later this fall. No date has been announced yet.

“It’s a tradition… not really here in Nevada but in other places, it is a tradition to go to a studio,” says assistant principal Ms. Ruesch regarding about taking senior pictures.

She said that senior pictures here at Sunrise are normally taken in November, so we still have some months to go. It’s a good thing we have the opportunity to take senior pictures here.

“The studio of course have their sides and they’re going to try to have seniors down there when they’re pick up their IDs and convince you to come to their studio,” Ruesch says. “Of course they want you guys to have amazing photos, but they’re also trying to make a business.”
