The boys soccer offense keeps rolling with a 4-2 win at Chaparral Wednesday evening. The Miners who lost to Cowboys two years ago in the region playoff semifinals had to come back and beat Chaparral.

Four Miners scored in the match-up. Luis Luna, Angel Arreola, Estiban Olandez and Eric Guillen each scored a goal.

“We don’t consider Chaparral a rivalry,” said Arreola. “Our rivals have always been Western.”

The Miners still remain undefeated in the season play. They are now 6-0-1. They tied their matchup against Chaparral earlier this season.

“This game has the hardest to us so far this season since we have been playing weaker competition all season long,” claimed Luna. “Teams like Chaparral that are more talented are obviously going to be hard comparing them against the other teams in our conference.”

The Miners will be yet again going to playoffs this year and are likely to garner the #1 spot in their conference once again.
