Mr. Paul is another one of the newest staff members that joined us this year at Sunrise Mountain High School, teaching 9th grade English.

Paul is originally from Anderson, South Carolina, but recently moved to Las Vegas almost five months ago in May.

Before coming to Sunrise Mountain he was an undergraduate at Claflin University. The reason he decided to start working here at Sunrise was because of a program he is in called “Teach for America.”

“It gave me an opportunity to move out here and facilitate 9th grade English,” said Paul.

Paul personally thinks Sunrise Mountain is a really good school and enjoys working here. He also believes the students are bright kids that have things going for them in the future.

“I absolutely love working at Sunrise,” said Paul. “I love the environment and the kids have very insightful futures.”

He wants students to know he’s a real advocate and believes you need to be put in uncomfortable positions in order to grow.

“Anything that you strive to do make sure to get completely uncomfortable in order for you to become comfortable,” said Paul “I feel that you grow the most out of uncomfortableness.”
