The men’s Miner soccer team hit the road as they had no problem against the Trojans of Pahrump Valley as they beat them 7-1 at Bettye Wilson Park in Old Summerlin, Nevada.
Senior star Angel Arreola had four goals and two assist in the victory. Arreola is the center piece to the Miner’s offense. Jonzo Jimenez pitched in two assist and a goal as well.
“Last nights game was stressful,” said senior Estiben Olandez. “We didn’t have the best game we could have played overall.”
The Miners only had two of their seven goals at halftime. They were struggling through the first 40 minutes of the ball game.
Arreola had all four of his goals in the second half. Arreola has now climbed the ladder and is ranked number six in Southern, Nevada for goals scored.
“We have high hopes this year again,” said junior Jairo Miralrio “We’re looking to repeat as state champions.”
