Women’s Basketball upcoming season is bringing a lot of fiery hearts but with a shadow of doubt.

Coach Sexton’s first basketball season is so far good but with a rocky start.

“Its been a solid start only thing is the grades aren’t there,” Sexton said.

Some of the key players in this year’s line-up include senior Trinity Lavoll and freshman Markaila McCurdy.

Sexton also provided insight on the fiery hearts at work.

“We can compete with anybody,” Sexton said. “We have to prove we have the talent and change what people see about Sunrise.”

McCurdy also feels the team needs to have high goals.

“The goal I have for this team is to go to state,” McCurdy said. “We need to get better communication and connections to each other as a team.”

The season is barely simmering but the passion is firing up.
