Sunrise Mountain High School is proud to have three students audition for the Clark County School District Honor Band. Angel Promsiri who plays the trumpet, Deonnia Heglar who plays percussion and Cesar Chavez-Romero who plays the euphonium.

“They have been working really hard and practicing as much as they can”, said band teacher Ms. Berens. “I hope that their hard work paid off.”

The CCSD Honor Band is a band of top players from all over CCSD who auditioned to learn more advanced music with a different conductor. Recently, Orchestra’s Napoleon Garcia won a seat in the CCSD Honors Orchestra.

“I’m excited for auditioning, I hope I get in but I’m not sure,” said sophomore Cesar Chavez-Romero.

Auditioning for this group is not only nerve-wracking, it can make or break you. Sunrise Mountain wishes the best of luck to these students as they hope to represent Sunrise in this amazing opportunity.
