Imagine your school having a club where all they do is help out and teach you about leadership. Sunrise Mountain actually does offer a club like that. It’s called the National Honor Society club.

“Our club helps people build character,” says senior president Angel Promsiri. “We help around the school and even other communities outside of school.”

On November 8th, the club held an inducting ceremony and celebrated the joining of the new members of the club. According to the president they spoke about the character and positions.

After they were done speaking about the important roles they all play, they lit candles and continued on with their ceremony.

Being a member of the group does come with a lot of responsibilities, but members of the group believe and say it’s worth it. To some students it can be a little bit stressful and to some others it’s fun.

“The ceremony went well,” said junior Alexa Salmeron. “A lot of people enjoyed it and I love being a part of the club.”
