Girls Basketball Falls To Bonanza By One Point

The Miners women’s basketball took a tough loss at Bonanza on Friday afternoon, 36-35.

The Miner’s had the lead through three quarters of action, 22-20. However, the Bengals than had 16 huge points in the fourth to rally back and win the ball game.

“It was a tough loss,” said sophomore Aiyana Ramirez, who led the team with 10 points. “We played hard they entire game we thought we had this one, we didn’t give up though.”

Only a total of five Miners scored in this Friday afternoon matchup. Senior Trinity Lavoll and freshman Markaila McCurdy each had eight. The Miners shot 64.71% from the field throughout the game. They had a total of 11 FGM.
