The Sunrise Mountain High School Orchestra had the chance of a lifetime to go the Smith Center Monday night on May 6th for a special chamber music performance which featured three international acclaimed performers Joshua Bell on violin, Steven Isserlis on cello, and Jeremy Denk on piano.

Thanks to the Public Education Foundation, the students were able to enjoy this performance at no cost to them.

“The performance was amazing. I simply don’t know how else to put it,” said senior Brooklyn Gallagher. “It was the most interesting performance I have heard. It inspires me to keep playing the violin.”

For many of the students who attended the performance, the performance was inspiring to keep on playing in the orchestra and was very interesting to watch.

“Joshua Bell is an outstanding violinist and it has been a dream for the past three years to see him perform,” Gallagher said, “Jeremy Denk and Steven Isserlis were also brilliant. I hope to see them again.”

For students like Gallagher, being able to see these musicians perform was a dream to come true.
