The girls soccer season ended with a devastating loss in the first round of the playoffs, falling to Western, 5-0.

Western was in 2nd place of 3A Sunset league. Western only lost two games during their regular season, both to Pahrump Valley.

The loss in the first round ended their season. It was a devastating loss, because the school had high exceptions for the Miners to win that game.

“I’m still upset about the game, but we never gave up,” said sophomore Katheryn Barajas. “We gave it our all, and that’s what matters.”

Miner girls soccer had many opportunitiesĀ  to score goals, but failed. Soccer season is over for the girls, but the girls are still going to work hard to make states next year.

“It was a nice experience to be able to play playoffs,” said junior Kimberly Morales. “It was also nice to be able to be in such a great team.”

Next fall season the state tournament is going to be held in Las Vegas , NV. Girls soccer is going to keep on practicing to be able to make it to states next season.
